There are two golf courses at South Beds Golf Club, the Warden Hill Course, which is a challenging 9 hole course, and the 18 hole Galley Hill course. The courses were established in 1892 and although the layout has changed over the years the heritage of the course can clearly be seen in the layout and maturity of the courses. The courses are built on chalk land and drain extremely well, resulting in virtually no course closures related to weather.
Membership gives you access to a large number of club competitions. We are a member of a reciprocal group, which gives free access to 6 other clubs in our area and a low price at two other clubs. Members may also purchase a Bedfordshire County Card. This card enables you to play over 1250 clubs nationwide at approximately half price green fees. Just using it once saves you more than its cost.
Having joined, you and your partner are welcome to enjoy the facilities of the clubhouse bar, restaurant and to participate in a wide variety of social functions, including quiz nights, music nights, dances and themed dinners. We also have 2 full size snooker tables. If you enjoy a game of cards, Whist Drives are held regularly and Bridge is played weekly. Our club card gives you generous discounts at the bar.
