Welcome Darren
My Assistant Professional Craig Ferris left us at the end of January to take up the position of Head Professional at Luton Hoo Golf Club.
As one man moves on, another will be arriving to fill the position as Assistant Professional. I take great pleasure in introducing you to Darren Close. Some of you will know Darren as he has previously been a member of the club, and was a regular player for the club's scratch team, and Bedfordshire's county team. Darren is a 1st year trainee with the PGA, and is looking forward to carving out a successful career in the golf industry. Whilst working with us he will be looking to enhance his teaching portfolio, keep his game in shape by playing regular events and building on his knowledge of what it takes to run a successful business. I'm sure you will all join me in welcoming Darren, and wish him every success in his future with the club.
I am grateful to Craig for his service during the time he has spent working with us, and wish him all the best in the next stage of his career.

Regripping and repairs
The sun is shining and the competition season is upon us - when did you last check your grips?
We also offer a basic custom fitting service and can adjust loft and lie to suit your swing. Pop in and check whether your clubs are suitable for this service.
We stock a wide range of grips for all clubs including putters. We can also fit training grips to help with your grip and alignment. You'd be surprised how a new grip will help your game. If you play weekly, it is recommended to renew your grips each year.
Golf Tuition
Golf Tuition is available for players of all abilities. There are practice bunkers and a chipping green in addition to the main practice ground. Tuition is available in all aspects of the game.
Tuition is available to both members and non-members and can be booked as individual or as a course of lessons.
