Good News and Bad NewsI'm sure you've all been enjoying the wonderful Autumn weather we've been experiencing over the last couple of months. Very little rain, warm and damp conditions with no frost. Whilst these weather conditions are ideal for playing golf, they are also ideal for fungal growth on the greens - you may have seen the signs of Fusarium on some of the greens. To read more about the treatment, see the Greens page on the courses menu. Sun Shines on Captain

Winter Golf
South Beds Golf club is an excellent course to play in the winter. It is located on the Chalk hills to the North of Luton and is exceptionally well drained. We are rarely closed, even when many other local courses are waterlogged. If you're thinking of playing a new course this winter, come and explore our courses at South Beds - you'll be pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and fantastic playing conditions.

Joining South Beds
Membership Available
As a registered Community Amateur Sports Club, South Beds has an open admissions policy and applications are welcome for all categories of membership.
With two courses to choose from and a full range of practice facilities, the Club caters for golfers of all abilities. Whilst the Galley Hill Course is a good challenge for anyone, the 9-hole Warden Hill Course provides an interesting introduction to golf and, at the same time, presents an alternative challenge for the experienced player.
The Club recognises that it needs to help golfers meet the financial challenges that modern day living presents and therefore, Members can choose to pay their annual subscriptions by monthly direct debit each year. Furthermore, those joining the Club can elect to spread their Entrance Fee over a five-year period if they wish. Consequently, you could become a Full Member now for less than £95 per month.

On a fantastically sunny Sunday, our new Captain Richard Tallon drove just wide of the 1st green to start his year as Captain. His drive was successfully predicted by our current county champion Miguel Moitas. Read more in the Captains blog and login to see the photo album for more pictures.
